Having just come back from another fantastic sales promotional tour with our lovely customer Marriott, I’m left wondering whether there’s anything this van can’t do. Following on from numerous coffee tours, visiting customers to promote their meetings imagined service, Marriott wanted a change of tact for their week long sales blitz at the end of June. We got our heads together and discussed ideas for the van and how to turn it into something very different that would demonstrate Marriott’s creativity in line with their ‘meetings imagined’ service. After a bit of exploration it was decided that it would become a Prosecco/summer van. A new design for the wrap was created, and the coffee machine was removed to make way for a drinks fridge. Props were purchased to enable us to bring 3 different summer party themes to customers – a beach party, garden party or party in the park.
The one thing we couldn’t take with us was the sunshine and, true to British form, there was some rain to contend with, when our outdoor party was converted to a reception party! Nonetheless the customers loved it, providing Marriott with photos, social media mentions, and most importantly sales leads of events coming up.
The sales team were visibly closer to their customers by the end of the week, with new contacts made and relationships forged. The team worked really hard to deliver great parties for each of the 25 customers visited, and the delight on their faces made it all worthwhile. We even had people looking out of company windows and asking what we were doing – a great attention grabber.
